Our Survey Said...
There's no escaping the fact that new car sales are currently at their lowest ebb for many years. This often contrasts sharply with the Motability sales in a dealership, which according to Ryan Walker, Managing Director of vehicle adaptation specialist Techmobility, are actually holding their own . Said Ryan, "We are currently adapting vehicles for more than 500 Motability specialists in the whole of the South East of England. April and May have been incredibly busy months for us. However, some long-standing dealerships are no longer trading with the knock-on effect being that their Motability business is usually transferred to another dealership. For the first time in our trading history, we have developed a survey with the remit of finding out how Motability specialists are faring in the current climate and also what influences them when selecting a vehicle adaptation specialist. I believe that now is the time for a business like ours to really focus on making genuine service improvements. The only way to achieve this is to engage with our Motability specialists at a grass roots level by asking for their feedback." The Techmobility survey will be sent out during June. Some dealerships will be contacted by telephone for their feedback. For the first 15 Motability specialists to complete and return their survey there is the added incentive of a Techmobility mug filled with jellybeans! The general trends and results from the survey will be published in September and a copy sent to the responders.
